The tumbler is a good size & it is easy to tumble however, the air vents in the lids on either end are too large which allows fruit flies to get into the compost & breed. Very bad design & potentially a lack of knowledge applied to this design. I would probably not have purchased this product had I known. I have had to make my own modifications to the tumbler in an attempt to address this issue. As with other reviews I have seen I did not get the free cage mentioned in the promotion. I would like to still receive it as I do have use for one & when it comes down to it it's false advertising if you are not actually providing what is advertised = BAD BUSINESS.

This is my third Tumbleweed tumbler. The other 2 are still going strong after 10+ years, but I needed another one now we don't have chooks to eat some of the food scraps. I took a star off because I didn't get the compost cage as advertised - I couldn't even get it to add to the checkout.

This is my third purchase of the tumbleweed - 2 for myself & one as a gift. The product is sturdy, convenient & long lasting. I just wish there was an easy way to empty the bin when the compost is ready.

I love this compost maker. It is large enough to make a lot of compost. It is easy to tumble and easy to harvest the compost as can just unscrew the bottom and it all tumbles out.
